Rules

Organizer of the POLE BATTLE FREESTYLE is European Pole Dance Federation.

Competitors must be over the age of 18 or must have written consent from their parents in order to take part in the competition (= category Juniors).

Competitors must enter by the dates that have been announced.

Competition is open for men & women in all the categories as a mixed and also for Juniors (mixed category from 10-17 years old).

Categories:

Amateurs (mixed category)

Juniors (10-17 years, mixed category)

  • Scoring of this catogory is the same like in Professionals.
  • Competitors must upload scan of signed Parental Consent in their profile on the website.

Professionals (mixed category)

  • Every athlete who has already competed in category Professional.
  • Those who was among the best three competitors in the national pole sport championship in category Amateurs (last year or in the same year if the championship took place before the Pole Battle Freestyle).
  • Instructors and pole dancers who earn money by performing.

Elite (mixed category)

  • Participants in the previous year's league who placed 1st-3rd overall in the Professionals category in the national chart.
  • Those who was among the best three competitors in the national pole sport championship in category Professionals (last year or in the same year if the championship took place before the Pole Battle Freestyle).
  • Juniors who reached 18 years and were among the best three Juniors in previous season.
  • Every athlete who has already competed in category Elite (all competitions).
  • Instructors and pole dancers who earn money by performing.

Compulsory moves: there are no compulsory moves in this competition format - the goal is to make the best possible show.

Competitors are required to sign up by the set deadlines: no later entries will be accepted.

POLE BATTLE FREESTYLE competition system

1st round

○ Each competitor appears 2x on the stage, after a signal, and the time limit is 2 x 0:30 min for each competitor for all categories;

○ The Jury will announce the winner directly after each battle;

○ The best 6 winners (according to the gained points) will continue to the Final;

○ The pole mode is STATIC;

○ The poles will be cleaned after the battle is finished, each athlete compete on his own pole (accept the exceptional case with 3 competitors in the last battle);

○ The number of rounds depends on the total number of competitors taking part;

○ Pairs and music (list of music items to be posted on the website/Facebook in advance) are drawn randomly before each battle;

Final

○ = 3 battles in each category;

○ The Jury will announce the better one from each pair again;

○ At the end the best two competitor from 3 winners are announce and invited to the Super Final;

○ The length of competing in the final round is 2 x 0:45 min for each competitor;

○ The pole mode is SPINNING.

Super Final

○ The two best competitors fight for the absolute victory;

○ The length of competing is 2 x 1:00 min for each competitor;

○ Pole mode is STATIC & SPINNING and competitors have to use both of them;

○ The draw will decide who starts.

Dress Code:

○ No shoes are allowed;

○ Costume/outfit to be selected by each competitor (must not be vulgar or obscene – the decision in this respect is made by the organisers) - intimate parts of the body must not be exposed at any time;

○ Props allowed;

○ A violation of the above rules may be a reason for disqualification.

Pole Battle Freestyle vs. Pole Battle League

These two competition has nothing in common. Points gained from freestyle won´t be counted on league ranking chart.

Scoring system

The main focus of the Jury:

  • Execution of the moves incl. Deductions;
  • X-Factor & Originality (ability of competitors to entertain the audience; self confidence, expression);
  • Difficulty of the moves.

Pole Battle Freestyle participation conditions:

Candidates wishing to take part in the competition are required to send application forms (available on the website) by the set deadline.

We will contact the fastest candidates + two substitutes. The winner of each round will automatically progress through to the next round but is obliged to confirm her participation not later than 2 days after the registration opening, otherwise her reservation will be cancelled.

Start list:

The list of competitors will be posted on the website after the registration deadline, and the competitors will receive electronic invitations, along with further instructions.

Two pole battle candidates will be invited as substitutes - they will pay the start fee only in the event of appearing in the competition.

Poles:

X-STAGE by X-POLE Chrome 45 mm.

Music:

The list of music items to be used for the battles will always be known beforehand, and will be posted on the website/Facebook.

Media rights:

The competitors agree that shots and photos taken during the competition may subsequently be used by the organisers in documentary and promotion materials of all known formats (TV, Internet, printed media, etc.). Further, the competitors agree to be available for photographing and/or interviews in the event that they get as far as the final round.

Final provision:

The competition organisers reserve the right to change the rules at any time, without prior notice.

The organisers shall not be held liable for any injuries that might be incurred by competitors during the competition.
